Sainsbury’s for the development of a 116,000-sq ft supermarket at Talbot Green in South Wales. Infrastructure works are due to commence in autumn 2014. The new £200m town centre development, which is being built on mainly brownfield land, will include a further 380,000 sq ft of retail space, a leisure and entertainment quarter, restaurants, bars, and a hotel, along with a range of civic and community facilities and residential apartments and townhouses.
Mark Jackson, managing director of Scarborough Development Group, said: “Now that Sainsbury’s is committed to opening a new store, we can push on with our proposals for phase 2 of the development.
