Countdown To Vietnam - David

With less than a week until the lucky 9 fly off for the adventure of a lifetime in Vietnam, today we hear from our CEO David...

DavidWas I slightly mad to think I could take eight slightly off-the-wall characters and myself off to Vietnam for two weeks and not have any worries?!

As the departure date comes steadily closer my imagination is working overtime on what they could get up to and what precautions I’ll need to have ready!

Seriously, I can’t wait.  It’s been a long time in the planning but we’re nearly there.  It’s going to be a fantastic trip, doing something out of most of our comfort zone and building a washroom up in the hills of rural Vietnam.

There was a concern that our building qualifications for getting the job done might be a bit light, fortunately we have managed to draft in Hong Kong Phooey (Andy!) to help with the build.  Claire has been having some plastering lessons from her partner so that’s her job picked out.

Medical supplies purchased, anti-malarial drugs issued, injections done – that’s all taken care of; crayons and nice things for the kids being blagged by Sharrona, evening entertainment being planned by Dom and Jennie (Lord help us!)

Cheryl will be 'mozzie police' making sure we all take our drugs and look after ourselves and Tash will be making sure all of the gingers slap on the Factor 50.  Andy, as well as being handy, will be cameraman.  Amanda will slip easily into her role of organiser and mother hen and Claire will have her hands full just looking after herself!

It’s going to be a trip of a lifetime, another wonderful experience that will be entered into the scrap book of Access Point adventures.
