Grand designsA day in the life of Jacquie and Carole at the Grand Designs Live show at the NEC in Birmingham

Thursday 9th October was the opening day of the Grand Design Live show at the NEC Birmingham and Jacquie and I were dressed to kill!

After an enjoyable train journey from Wigan to Birmingham and business cards at the ready we arrived at the NEC raring to go!

Show guides in hand, our designer bags were empty and ready to collect as much information as possible.  And so we set out....

GD Hub

This was the first time we had visited this show and we were amazed at the size of it.  Bigger even than the Ideal Home Show we were faced with SEVEN halls offers; Build, Grand Kitchens & Bathrooms, Grand Food & Housewares, Grand Interiors, Design Arcade, Grand Technology and Grand Gardens.

The show was really busy but we fought our way round smiling and catching the eye of many companies.  Our game plan worked!  Jacquie dazzling exhibitors in her red dress and me in my suit with pockets filled with Access Point business cards, we spoke to many companies and collected bags filled with new contacts and leads.

Many companies were very interested in the Venue Marketing and Till Roll opportunities Access Point can offer and are looking forward to be contacted over the next couple weeks.

By 5pm our feet started to give up....change of shoes for Jacquie to another beautiful sparkly pair of flats!  We both felt a visit to the most important stand at the show had to be done and we treated ourselves at the Champagne Bar!

Now to run for the train home and well deserved rest for a couple of hours and discussing our day.

Always a pleasure to have a day with Jacquie we are great team when promoting Access Point.
