#100Hours - Our Volunteering Pledge

As part of our Business In The Community commitment, we are proud to be pledging 100 hours of time and energy into making Southport beautiful!

OK so the town is already quite stunning and currently in the running for both NorthWest and Britain In Bloom; and we are definitely not experienced enough for a high profile gardening mission.  We will however be taking on a significant horticultural challenge in dedicating 100 volunteering hours to our very own section of Hesketh Park.

Access Point - 100hour pledgeHesketh Park is 12 hectares of Victorian park space at the Northern end of Southport which has been open to the public since 1868. It is filled with beautiful gardens, large open spaces and ornate fountains; and the Parks and Green Spaces team at Sefton Council will be entrusting part of it to our care for the next four months.

Access Point will be donating 100 hours of business time so our dedicated staff can head out fortnightly in order to weed, plant, paint and litter pick to generally help maintain the natural beauty of Hesketh Park; but most importantly to give back to our community.

Volunteering in the community helps build a community; so launching just in time for National Volunteers Week, our team of volunteers will be donning their wellies and heading to Hesketh Park this Saturday 4th June to begin our gardening challenge.

Keep checking our Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages for the latest updates on our #100Hour volunteering pledge.
