Proud To Work For

20th April 2015 is the start of Responsible Business Week.

This morning at 11.00am Business in the Community asked every company involved to tweet about why they were supporting it… and we didn’t know where to start. I mean, why wouldn’t you support responsible business? But the answer was simple really. It’s because we’re proud.

We’re proud of the work we do to support charities, to support our local food bank, proud to help the environment and cut back on waste, proud to support employee growth and development. Most importantly, Access Point is proud to be a family; and families look after one another.

All this week we’re going to be blogging, tweeting, posting and just generally showing off about all of these things. But just to get us started, along with other businesses involved, we asked some of our staff why they’re #proudtoworkfor

Dom Ford, Sales Support “Access Point have a lot of incentives for the staff to strive and do that little bit more, inside and outside work. I’m proud to work for Access Point, great company.”

Jennie Keen, Account Manager “Access Point is like a family and not only do they bring out the best in you, they motivate you to have a better work ethic and to push yourself to be the best at what you do.”

Amanda Shaw, Resource Director “It’s great to work for a company that is environmentally aware.  There could so easily be a lot of unnecessary waste from the office but with the recycling and save paper policies in place there is hardly any at all which is a great achievement.”

Jennifer Wainwright, Sales Support “I’m proud to work for Access Point because of the fundraising the Company is prepared to do for the local charities/community.  It’s great fun to get involved and we do lots of team activities to get everyone participating.  Our most successful fundraiser was for the local food bank which got an astonishing response from the general public, enabling us to provide a whole load of food and raise money for the charity.”

So why wouldn’t we be proud? For the rest of the week we’re going to try and showcase all these things and show you why we’re proud to support 'Responsible Business Week 2015'.
