We’ve got the year off to a flying start with a new partnership with Woking Shopping. The scheme covers much of Woking town centre and comprises of the Peacocks Centre, Wolsey Place and external locations on Commercial Way and Market Walk.
2018 is going to be an interesting year for the retail industry as we’ll continue to see who can make the changes required or who will remain stuck in the past. An important part of this will be how retailers and retail venues interact and engage with customers.
At Access Point we’ll be making every effort to ensure that our partner venues are always engaging places to be, keeping customers interested and returning again and again. For this we’ll continue to focus on the trends that are driving customer footfall to retail venues up and down the UK. This means engaging experiential events like virtual reality, it means regularly changing options for food; sampling new flavours and combinations from around the world and it means offering them the convenience in third party products and services which allow a smaller scheme to punch well above its weight.
This is exactly what we’ll be bringing to Woking with new events, pop-up shops and third party promotions taking place every week, ensuring the centre has a new and varied feel every time a visitor comes back.
Our CEO David Robertshaw had this to say:
“We’ve got lots of big plans for some really exciting events capitalising on the growing trends for pop-up retail and virtual reality. We’ve got some amazing people we work with in the industry and while we’ll be talking with utility companies, car brands and telecoms for promotions around this location, we’ll also be looking for things that are really different. We want to give visitors a new experience every time they visit Woking Shopping, be that African Street Food or exciting and engaging events such as the My Little Pony tour we brought to Fosse Park in Leicestershire last year.”
